Marie's new words

"ma ma ma"
Mama! This is so fun for me to hear, even though she usually says it when she's upset.

"qua, quack, quack"
quack, usually said while playing with one of our books about ducks

"dah!!"
dog, said when she sees a dog, as well as many other times

"gah gah"
Grandpa, Grandma, Bekah. . . She has made slight variations to try and repeat these names, but it usually sounds pretty similar.

"caa"
cow, repeated when she was playing with a cow-shaped marker and when we were talking about a cow in one of her books.

"nik-oh"
Nicole, only repeated twice but with surprising clarity

"a-a-a-a"
baaa, as in the sound of a sheep. Again, repeated while reading books. She also tries to make the "neigh" sound of a horse to mimic ours. It makes me realize why so many baby books are about animals!

"bleh-dl-dle-dl"
no translation, but she does it to mimic various funny sounds we make with our tongues. She can also make a cute little clicking noise with her tongue and she is overjoyed when people do it back to her!
